Data Engineer - Berlin

Job description

We're seeking exceptional professionals to join our fast-growing team in Berlin. 

As a Data Engineer at ML6, you will be transforming the way companies work by building data solutions on Google Cloud Platform and you will help putting Machine Learning applications in production. As Premier Google Cloud Service Partner, ML6 has a very strong relationship with Google, providing you options to collaborate with Googlers and alpha test a lot of their latest Data Engineering tools. We work across a broad range of application domains, which allows you to have a healthy mix of tasks to pick from.

Within your team you will:

- Efficiently translate customer business needs into end-to-end technical solutions

- Conception, design and implementation of data architecture

- Use Python to deploy production ready data pipelines on Google Cloud in a machine learning context

Requirements

Minimum:

  • Python or advanced knowledge in other languages
  • Experience with Google Cloud ecosystem
  • Experience with (NoSQL) Databases and streaming or batch data pipelines such as: Apache Beam, MySQL, and/or other related onces like MongoDB, Cassandra, Spark, pig, hive, flink, Hadoop
  • Kubernetes experience
  • You have a bachelor's or master’s degree in computer science or related field
  • Being able to work autonomously and take ownership
  • Ability to provide expert advice to non-technical staff and clients, excellent verbal and written communication in English and German
  • Willingness to travel within Germany
  • Linux

Preferred:

  • Contribution to open source projects
  • Java or other programming language
